September 2025
Dear | Tēnā koe Evans
.
Diabetes New Zealand invites you to write your will for free - it only takes 10 minutes.
September is Charity Wills Month, and we are pleased to be able to share with you an opportunity to write your Will for free.
We have teamed up with Gathered Here, a FREE online Will service, to make it simple and accessible to make a Will and support organisations like Diabetes NZ. Gathered Here is a trusted online Will service, used by more than 100 charities across the country. It takes less than 10 minutes, you simply print and sign - and there's absolutely no cost.
Having a Will in place is a meaningful way to protect loved ones. After ensuring your loved ones are provided for, please consider leaving a gift to Diabetes NZ. Even a small gift, such as 1% of your estate, can have a meaningful impact to our work.
Jenny joined the South Canterbury Diabetes Association as it was back then, when she was just 25 years old, more than 60 years ago. Her lifetime commitment to supporting people with diabetes is something she wants to see continue when she is gone. That's why Jenny has decided to leave a gift in her Will to Diabetes New Zealand. She wants progress to continue for the next generation. Read Jenny's story.
“I thought we might have seen a cure for diabetes by now. But I believe it’s possible and with the right research we will just continue to see breakthroughs. I want that for other people. I have seen many improvements in my lifetime, but it’s still always there. I still get lows; I still have to think about my diabetes every day. To be free of that would be a marvelous gift for future generations. I want to do my part to make that happen.”
