After more than a Decade on a Low Fat Plant Based Diet I had developed: T2 Diabetes, High Blood Pressure, Arthritis, Insomnia, Chronic Gut Inflammation, Migraines, Fibromyalgia, GERD, Brain Fog & Memory issues, 35 lbs Overweight, Recurring Skin Rashes (neck & shoulders), Chronic Neck Pain. I thought i was just getting old (and I was)
BUT
In only 4+ Months on a Carnivore diet (for Blood Sugar Control) every one of these chronic health issues have gone away or improved immensely & I'm off all medications (None of which were working that well -- for BP, Metformin, Migraine, Prilosec, & Skin). My strength & endurance have increased a lot.
Plus....now im NEVER HUNGRY...Eat only 2 meals a day now (used to "graze" all day). On the Plant Based diet I lived with a constsnt gnawing hunger.
Blood Sugar is normal, Triglycerides were cut in half. While HDL more thsn doubled (thereby improving my "Triglycerides/ HDL" Ratio by over 400%).
Plants did nothimg to keep me healthy.
May not stay on a strict Carnivore diet.... but Im never going back to eating only Plants.
I tried eating vegan. I tried eating exclusively carnivore. The latter helped me transition to sharply restricting refined carbs, by which I mean, for the sake of simplicity, sugar and flour. But I did not feel great under either strict regime. I currently consume a lot of meat and animal fat and also eat salads and steamed vegetables. And I feel pretty good. I'm 77, do a 4 mile jog two or three times a week and take no prescription meds. One additional point: if you're exclusively vegan or carnivore and allow your preference to become a moral issue, that attitude will make rational discussion of dietary choice difficult. In my experience this attitude is more common among vegans, many of whom seem to think that eating meat is tantamount to killing another human. I'll admit that during the 18 months or so during which I tried to be strictly vegan, I allowed that choice to become a moral issue for me. I regret that. It has been over twenty years since my vegan phase and I still find myself apologizing to people for the lofty and sanctimonious pronouncements I subjected them to during that time.
I was vegan for 33 years but never felt healthy. I bit the bullet and switched to carnivore and the improvements in my health are off the charts. I was never one of those asshole vegans who tries to force it on everyone, nor will I be an asshole carnivore, but I do tell everyone who's interested about the improvements I experienced. I'd say decades of depression disappearing within a month was one of the biggest wins of my life. Your videos, and those of some of your colleagues helped me make my decision. Thanks for that!
EARLY CARNIVORE MEAT DIET OR Pemmican Pemmican (also pemican in older sources)[1][2] is a mixture of tallow, dried meat, and sometimes dried berries. A calorie-rich food, it can be used as a key component in prepared meals or eaten raw. Historically, it was an important part of indigenous cuisine in certain parts of North America and it is still prepared today. 2. @robertstanton1668 2 months ago (edited) When I was dying, I began eating low carb, but I thought that keto stuff was crazy. Then I transitioned to keto, but I thought carnivore was crazy. Then I transitioned to carnivore and now I think eating carbs is crazy. I'm not dying any more. In fact, today I am stronger and healthier at 77 years old than I have been in quite a few decades. Dr Berry and his videos have been a huge part of my healing journey. Meat heals, carbs kill. @cobyteune 2 months ago Our son has autism and got in his teenage years schitzophrenia on top of that. We are now nearly 2 years on a carnivore diet and he tapered down his antidepressant and now he is succesfully tapering down his antipsychotics. We are so thankful to the Lord Jesus for giving us the opportunity of running into this way of living after years and years of struggling and of false information coming our way. @Donna_Horses_Cats 2 months ago Dude, you know you have arrived when Dr. Berry is...
